Nine DeFi projects, and $584 of value locked between them. Elypact reports $583 and Cloak $1; the other seven report no TVL at all. That is the whole category.
It would be easy to read that as failure. It is more accurate to read it as a testnet doing exactly what a testnet does. Elypact has 1,659 wallets and 19,115 transactions behind its $583 — the contracts are being used, there is just no money in them. Aegis and Pantheon have traffic without value; Azalea and PopPay are still exploring.
The spread of what DeFi means here is worth noting: lending, payments, structured products, an Aegis and a Pantheon — names from a different era of crypto, applied to a chain that has not launched.
Four of the nine are on testnet, three pending review and two exploring. Not one is live, and none of the 39 contract addresses we track for this category has been confirmed by its team.
Treat the numbers as instrumentation, not as a scoreboard. The useful question is not who has TVL on a testnet, but who has kept shipping while it is zero.
